Cameron Greenwood is an active 13 year old boy attending Harbur Middle School. He is a determined, good-natured child on and off the soccer and lacrosse fields.
In the fall of 2009 what was thought to be a sports related muscle injury turned out to be an aggressive tumor in his pelvis. In January 2010, it was confirmed that it was malignant and he was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma.
Cameron and his parents are part of the Burlington community. We can not allow financial hardship to add to the journey that lies ahead for this brave, determined family.
Kickin' it Together is a phrase Cameron came up with. We think it expresses well the sense of shared purpose of his family, friends and neighbors, coming together in common cause. Be part of that team. Support one of our own.
Check back often for information on events and fundraisers.

Ewing's sarcoma occurs in the bone or close to the bone, most often in adolescents between the age of 10 and 20. It occurs in about one teenager in 50,000 and accounts for about 30 percent of bone cancers in children. This cancer most often is found in the arms and legs, particularly the thigh bone. It also may involve muscle and soft tissues surrounding the tumor. Ewing's sarcoma cells can spread or metastasize to other areas of the body, including bone marrow and the lungs.
